Estimate onlyA quick guide, not financial advice. Open a calculator for the full breakdown.
A salary or tax question rarely has one worldwide answer, which is why every country here gets its own calculator built on that country's actual rules: PAYE bands and National Insurance for the UK, federal brackets plus FICA and a state layer for the US, the official income tax formula with social insurance ceilings for Germany, and so on across twenty five markets. Each tax figure is taken from the national authority that publishes it, dated to the year it applies to, and checked against an official worked example before the page goes live. The editorial standards page describes that process, and the comparison tools put countries side by side on purchasing power, cost of living and take-home pay when the question is where, not how much.
