National Calculators is an independent project that publishes free calculators for salary, tax, benefits and everyday money questions across several countries. It is run privately, not by a company, an agency or a tax authority, and it is paid for by its operator rather than by clients or sponsors.

What this page is for

Several countries ask any public website to say plainly who stands behind it. Germany calls this an Impressum, and similar rules exist elsewhere in Europe. This page is that statement for National Calculators. It tells you who to hold to account for what is published here.

Accuracy and corrections

Every money figure is taken from an official source, dated to the tax year it applies to, and tested against worked examples before it goes live. Even so, rules change and mistakes happen. If a number looks wrong, report it through the contact page. Corrections are checked against the source, applied quickly, and the review date on the page is updated when they are.

Liability

The calculators are estimates for general guidance, not financial, tax or legal advice. Decisions you make from them are your own. Where National Calculators links to an outside website, that site is responsible for its own content.

German Impressum

For the German market this page is the Impressum under section 5 of the Telemediengesetz. The operator, postal address and contact details above identify who is responsible for National Calculators. There is no VAT identification number because the site is run privately rather than as a registered business; one will be added here if that changes.
