About
About National Calculators
Clear calculators for life, money and tax, country by country.
National Calculators is a free set of calculators for salary, tax, benefits, health and everyday life. Each money calculator is localised to a specific country, so the figures match the rules, currency and tax year where you actually live, rather than a generic one-size answer.
How the figures are kept accurate
Tax and benefit numbers are sensitive, so every country-specific calculator follows the same discipline:
- Sourced. Every parameter comes from an official government or tax-authority publication, linked on the page.
- Dated. Each page shows the tax year the figures apply to and when it was last reviewed.
- Cross-checked. Headline figures are verified a second time against independent official sources.
- Factchecked. Each calculator is tested against known worked examples before it is published. If it does not reproduce the official result, it does not go live.
Even with that process, the calculators are estimates for general guidance, not financial, tax or legal advice. Individual circumstances vary and rules change. Always confirm with the official sources before making decisions.
Who builds it
National Calculators is built and maintained by Vikas Dulgunde, a software engineer. It is an independent project, not affiliated with any government or tax authority. If you spot a figure that looks wrong, please get in touch; corrections are taken seriously and applied quickly.
